The Field is a 27-acre area of neglected agricultural land bordering the village of Kinlochard in the Southern Highlands of Scotland.  Surrounded by commercial forest The Field itself is a haven for native flora and fauna – and vital to the future of the village and its people.

The people of Kinlochard have worked hard to bring The Field into community ownership. Ownership will allow us to protect and enhance The Field’s environment and the myriad life it supports – at the same time working to ensure the land brings long-term social and economic benefits to the community and to the wider area.

There is huge potential for community ownership of The Field to be a catalyst for sustainable positive change in this small rural community.
